I am Yelda Uluğ, the founder of Paws in Flowers. In 2016, I rescued a stray cat from the streets of Istanbul. Her name was Lokum, and from the moment she entered my life, everything changed. She taught me that animals, just like humans, have deep emotions and a unique way of connecting with the world around them. Lokum was more than a cat—she was a cherished companion who opened my heart to the sentience of animals.
For two years, during my stay in Hungary, Lokum was by my side, filling my days with joy and teaching me the beauty of the human-animal bond. It was a photograph of Lokum nestled in flowers in Hungary that inspired the name of my store, Paws in Flowers.
Today, Paws in Flowers is a celebration of that bond—a reminder of how animals touch our lives.
Just like Lokum brought moments of peace and happiness, we hope our mugs do the same. May our creations inspire a deeper appreciation for animals, nature, and the small moments that make life meaningful.
